For over a quarter century, the Center’s staff has pursued its passion to enhance patient care by
researching and publishing unbiased recommendations regarding medicinal agents and therapies.
Most medical publishers rely on advertising revenue. Therapeutic Research Center refuses to accept any advertising. The Center’s activities are supported by paid subscriptions. Independence from advertisers means that the Center is not dependent upon pleasing advertisers, or the sale of any medicinal product. Consequently, the publications are able to give unbiased recommendations.
Medical professionals are constantly barraged with “information” but not actual recommendations. There’s a big difference. Medical professionals already have email boxes and journals packed full of details about the latest study or warning.
These professionals want someone they trust to turn that “information” into a “recommendation.” For example, which drug to use or not use, and when, and in whom. The Center is the only large independent organization of its kind that specializes in giving actionable recommendations on therapeutics.
The following subscribe to Therapeutic Research’s services: Every national pharmacy chain; most independent pharmacies; hospital pharmacies; government agencies such as National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine, FDA, and Veterans Administration; all U.S. Military installations worldwide; the largest hospital chains; and medical residency programs. In addition to these groups, hundreds of thousands of individual physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacy technicians, medical librarians, dietitians, and other medical personnel have personal subscriptions. The Center also serves subscribers in 55 countries outside of the U.S. with concentrations in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan.
The Center never sells, rents, or releases any information about any subscriber. The Center never accepts any form of advertising. Subscribers never have to wonder or worry if their web usage is tracked and sold. The editors abide by their own policy to not own stock in any pharma-related company.
The staff and volunteers are serious about making a difference and enhancing patient care. They strive to reduce inappropriate drug use, and equip persons to make appropriate use of medications. Rational therapeutics is their passion. They love their work, and it shows.
Every communication with the Center’s staff is an opportunity to feel the orientation to service. Phone calls are answered by caring empowered humans, not voice recognition machines. The actual publications are written in a down-to-earth tone that conveys genuine desire to communicate effectively. The Center’s unpretentious staff makes it clear that they want to make life easier and better for the people they serve.
The Center produces published products including advisory services, databases, interactive resources, live webinars, drug comparisons, patient education, continuing medical education programs, learning management systems, and online training programs. All give users highly sophisticated help in a down-to-earth tone that users appreciate. See descriptions of some of the Center’s publications, below:
